REHOBOTH, Mass. — Continuing a holiday tradition, SeaScape was honored to help make the holiday brighter for a local family who’s lost a loved one.
In partnership with Friends Way, Christmas Decor by SeaScape decorated the Titcomb’s Rehoboth home in memory of Chris Titcomb.
The father of two passed away in April 2023 at the age of 44, less than a month after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer. Earlier this month, Chris’ family was surprised to find the outside of their home decked out for the holidays.
“Every year, Chris and myself and the girls would always decorate outside, so to have this done for us is absolutely incredible,” Katie Titcomb told ABC 6 News.
“I think sometimes we forget that the holidays can be difficult for people and anything the larger community can do to support those who are probably going through a little bit of a difficult time,” Catherine Giusti, SeaScape’s vice president of administration, told Channel 10.
Friends Way is Rhode Island’s only bereavement center dedicated to serving children, teens, and their families.
“This small gesture of allowing the girls and mom to be happy is okay—to have that joy and pocket that,” Ryan Loiselle, the Program Director for Friend’s Way, told News 12.
