The challenge of a seasonal business is always the weather. We are working hard to service all of our customers’ properties in a timely manner. However, some of our services just don’t work well in the rain.

Mosquito Control– While our mosquito control does stand up to the rain once it’s dry, ideally we don’t want to apply it in a heavy rain. If you haven’t had your May application, we haven’t forgotten about you. We will be out as soon as possible to control those pesky mosquitoes.

Lawn Fertilizer and Weed Control– Lawn fertilizer does just fine in the rain, but weed control is a liquid, so it needs some time to dry to be effective. This is why we ask you to stay off of the lawn for about an hour after each application. If it’s raining too hard the weed control won’t be as effective. Unless you are on our Natural program, all weeds will be treated at the time of your next application. If you had application a few weeks ago and you’re seeing a lot of weeds, contact our office. We’ll come and treat them again at no charge.

Plant Health Care– Many of the insect and disease control applications are liquid and need some time to dry. They are relatively rain fast within 30 minutes, so while we like the plants dry when we apply, it’s ok if it rains shortly after the application.

Tree Work– A light rain doesn’t deter our hardy tree care specialists. They can still trim and remove your trees and shrubs in some light rain. However, we don’t want them working in a heavy rain. Slippery equipment could put them at unnecessary risk. We’ll send them out on a better weather day for their safety.

Flea and Tick Control– This treatment can be done in the rain! Using our granular application, it’s effective rain or shine.

Often we don’t make the decision not to work until the early morning of a rainy day. If we’ve promised you a specific day we will call you to reschedule.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions, please send us a quick email or give our office a call at 1-800-294-5296.
