Did you know that we are currently in the fourth driest summer in over 100 years? While some areas have seen spotty showers, most of our lawns are seeing little to no rainfall. Many towns are well into their “watering bans” and even those lawns with automatic sprinkler systems are seeing some areas of drought.

SeaScape techs automatically adjust your lawn’s program to help it deal better with drought conditions. Weeds are opportunists, so they tend to grow quite well in any conditions, including droughts. Our techs will continue to treat weeds. Just as important, they will also be checking for insects. Insect damage often mimics drought stress, and they need to be treated.

According to the Farmers’ Almanac, the “dog days of summer” are officially over. Let’s hope we see more rain soon. In the meantime, SeaScape will do what we can to help keep your lawn healthy and able to bounce back from the drought.
